CARE ABOUT CLIMATE
A greenhouse gas is a gas that absorbs and emits radiant energy within the thermal infrared range. Greenhouse gases cause the greenhouse effect on planets. The primary greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere are water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. Excessive greenhouse gases lead to one of the biggest challenges our environment is facing right now, global warming. Reduction in greenhouse gases prompt a better sustainable environment. Climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges. Human emissions of greenhouse gases have increased global temperatures by around 1℃ since pre-industrial times. Every year, we emit more than 36 billion tonnes of CO2.
